<p>The mine support system has a set of floor members (8) with height adjustable telescopic cylinders (11) mounted on them, positioned behind a scraper chain conveyor (2) along the cutting face. It includes a guide (12) between two pairs of floor members, at right angles to the direction of travel of the conveyor, for a chain (35) running parallel to the cutting face, for operating the conveyor. There are also advancing cylinders (9) parallel with the guide. All these cylinders are operated by a hydraulic control circuit with lines interconnecting them with control valves and pressure monitors so that they tension in the drive chain operated by their control pistons and on the swinging arm (33) between the chain guide and the edges (3) of the conveyor sections.</p> |
