The photographic developer unit comprises three sections with the film fed through the unit by a drive motor. The first section comprises a liquid bath (12) in which the processing reservoirs are positioned so as to be maintained at a given processing temperature. The second section is a processing chamber with a single processing bath through which the film is transported along a closed path defined by transport rollers. The third section of the developer unit comprises a control circuit. Pref. the processing chamber is double walled with the interior coupled to the bath so that interior of the processing chamber is also maintained at the required temperature.
