The ski-boot comprises a shoe and a lower leg sheath or support. A hinge in the ankle zone connects the two components. The leg support element is also equipped with fastener elements permitting direct fixation to the ski. The shoe may comprise a shell contg. the lower foot. The leg support may comprise two individually pivotable half-shells which line of the front and rear lower leg surfaces resp. and are connected by a strap and a buckle at closure. Either of the leg pieces may incorporate catch cavities. The cavities are provided towards the base of the piece concerned, may locate externally on each side in the hinge zone, may be of pyramid form, and are engaged by lateral ski to boot fasteners.
