<p>A windscreen wiper blade has a cross-section with a grooved block (1) at the top for attachment to the wiper arm, and below this, two further arms (3, 5) extending outwards, one (3) thinner than the other (6). A groove (7), between the thinner one and the block above is wider than the groove above the thicker one. The tip (10) of the wiper blade (4) is chisel shaped and is attached by a necker portion to a port (3) which widens out upwards towards the two arms (3, 5) above. The thinner zones allow the chisel point to bend over as the blades is moved to and fro over the windscreen. The point (10) can then remove harder particles from the glass when travelling in one direction, and bends easily to remove water from the glass.</p> |
