The machine is for mfg. sheaths for electrical cables, which is fed from a tape processing unit. The process is continuous and consists of a frame in line with a tape feed unit, a work table and a tape storage unit. The processing unit has a compressed structure not exceeding 6 m in length. The worktable (15) supports the following processing units. The tensioning unit (18) followed by a lead bath (20) in a sliding drawer (19). There is an ultrasonic tape welding unit (21) operated by an electromotor drive (38) in the transverse direction. There is also a tape rubbing unit (22) with a double strip heating element (41, 42). There is also a tape brake (23) and an open cabinet (24, 25) made from a transparent material.
