<p>The installation serves to reclaim sand and gravel from wastes of concrete incurring in vehicles and concrete mixing plants. A inclined trough (1) has a worm (2) driven by gear (3) and motor (4). One end of the worm reaches into feed hopper (5) into which the remnants of concrete hosed out from transport vehicles returning from sites and concrete quantities not used at the end of a batch are fed in. The opening of the feed hopper is provided with a grille to hold back larger pieces of concrete or gravel. The feed hopper is shaped in such a way that feed with concrete waste can be carried out from several sides at the same time. Header (6) with several jet openings pointed towards the inclined worm provide continuous rinsing of the material lifted out by the worm from the hopper. The water flows into the hopper and surplus water leaves the hopper via overflow (8). At the highest point of the inclined worm a discharge opening (11) is provided in the bottom of trough (1) and the sand of a certain range of particle sizes is discharged onto sieve (12), where it is graded into two sizes.</p> |
