The track is designed for training and exercising several horses simultaneously, these being tethered to arms (4) spaced radially around a pivot (1, 2). The pivot is at ground level and also has radial arms (6) fixed into the ground, the free end of each arm carrying a motor and speed reducer (9) driving a wheel (8). The tethering arms are of triangular frame construction (41, 42, 43), the hypotenuse (41) having one end (3) on the pivot and the other inclined upwards to the tethering point (10), above the ground. These arms are joined at ground level by a circular bearing surface (11, 12) contacting the wheel and driven by it to rotate the arms.
