Conveyor for handling steel concrete reinforcing rods - has rotor with pockets for transferring rods from shears to conveyor

The steel rods for reinforcing concrete are cut to the required length from a continuous rod which is fed through the guide groove. The rods are ejected by the motion of the lever and fall onto the sloping track and then roll into the pocket of the rotor. When the required number of rods has been cut the jack is actuated so that the rotor rotates through 90 deg.. The pocket then takes up the position of pocket and the rods roll over the track onto the conveyor belt. This shape of rotor enables bundles of rods to be assembled without interrupting the continuous feed of rod to the shears.
