Safety mechanism for firearm with hammer - has safety block moved between hammer and firing pin

The safety mechanism is used in a small firearm with a hammer trigger and firing pin. The mechanism ensures that the firearm is ready to fire after cocking of the hammer. However the shot is fired only after actuation of the trigger. Hence the firing of the firearm is entirely dependent on actuation of the trigger (34). An opening is provided in front part of hammer for preventing contact between the hammer and the firing. A block is moved between the hammer and firing pin for safety and for firing. The hammer has components for moving this block so that firing can be carried ouit. This block is normally pushed into the safety position. This block rotates on a lever and the hammer actuated this lever.
