The switch group assembly, for a motor vehicle's dashboard near the steering wheel, consists of several switches united in a single housing or frame (1) that plugs into the dashboard making electrical connections as it does so. The switches occupy a U-shaped region enclosing a central space (7). The bridge part of the U holds the direction indicator switch (10) with reset cam (21) and the two arms hold the headlight and windscreen wiper switches. The direction indicator switch is a sliding type whose slider engages a return mechanism (13) and ratchet device (14) in the adjacent walls of the housing.
