One ramp end is pivotably attached to a stationary rigid ramp and the other end raised or lowered in the vertical direction for positioning on a loaded vehicle. To ease the or lowering of the free end of the ramp the ramp is fitted with a weight balance in the form of a gas spring. The balance is attached with one end to the pivotable ramp and with the other end to the stationary rigid ramp. The angle (4) between the gas spring (1) and the pivotable ramp (2) is adjustable. The stationary rigid ramp (3) is provided below the pivotable ramp (2) with a guide (5) in which is adjustably mounted one end of the gas spring (1) in a vertical plane to the pivoting axis (6).
