The gas cut-off tap insulating piece (6) for domestic installations is prevented from twisting out of the tap by inserted or screwed-in components. Is is held in position through screwing into the tap through holes or slots in screw-in supports of the tap, into which corresponding pins (4) or balls are introduced which, by springs (5) or pin screws, (6) are pressed out of the insulating pie piece (3). The insulating piece can fit in a hatlike fashion over the key surfaces of the tap and is prevented from being twisted out by pin screws screwed on to the key surfaces.
