In situ extraction of hydrocarbon deposit - by inductive heating through conductor spiral enclosing deposit section

A system for the situ extn. of hydrocarbons from natural deposits is based on the electric induction heating of a section to a temp. which is adequate to vaporise or gasify some of the hydrocarbons. The gases or vapours produced by the fractional cracking process are collected and extracted. Used for extracting hydrocarbons from deposits such as tar sands, lignites or oil shales previously considered to be unworkable.
