Positioning a vessel in a mould - by pressing it against a peg with force exerted at the vessel filling hole

The vessel is centred so that it can be coated with foamed plastic. This is effected by fitting a dimple (at the bottom of the vessel) on a peg, and then centring the vessel in the mould by clamping the filling hole or its surrounding collar. The force at the filling hole pref. presses the vessel against the peg, which may be on the outside or the inside (reaching down through the filling hole). Method minimises the area left uncoated, while avoiding using spacers that become inhomogeneous parts of the finished coating.
