Safety harness for vehicle occupant - has switch which completes ignition circuit when belt is fastened

The safety harness lower fixing bracket is provided with a switch housing. The switch housing contains a first lead to the ignition contacts or starter solenoid and a second lead fromt he electric supply (ignition switch). The leads are bridged by a plunger which is depressed when the safety belt is fastened. The plunger is held away from the lead contacts by spring tension until such time as the safety belt is fastened.
