<p>The electric generator is installed in the human body for supplying electrical circuits e.g. for a pacemaker consists of bonded piezoelectric plastic films which are placed in parts of the body frequently subjected to a change in pressure and which are connected by rectifiers. Pref. several film sections are connected in series, and. the films are arranged one above the other in a sandwich construction. A current store device of high capacitance is connected to the output of the rectifier, to provide a d. c. voltage even with LF feed currents and to allow bridging of longer intervals at the above parts of the body e.g. near the heart or lungs. Due to pressure fluctuation stress on the film it produces a low-power a.c. voltage sufficient for supplying pacemaker circuits which conventionally require very low supply energies.</p> |
