The shock absorbers of the vehicle are linked to a central control from which servo fluid is supplied to ensure an even ride over rough ground and through cornering. The fluid is drawn from a reservoir supplied by an electrically driven pump linked to the alternator. The control monitors the individual displacement of the dampers and provides correction pulses to enable the dampers to ride over bumps. The electrically driven pump presents no extra load on the engine.
