<p>The motorcycling safety helmet has an underneath opening with an edge (10) which is padded, as is the edge (11) round the visor slit. Either the whole or strips of the top surface of the helmet are painted in phosphorescent varnish. The outside of the helmet (13) can have a surface made up of tiny retro-reflecting glass beads (15) and a bearing base (16). Between the glass beads and base (12) is a reflecting intermediate layer. The edges of the bearing base layers (16) are coated with varnish (17) which is less thick than that of the beads and bearing layer.</p> |
