1509953 Detaching rollers drive TOYODA JIDOSHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK 10 July 1975 [13 July 1974] 29128/75 Heading DIN The detaching rollers drive in a textile combing machine produces a pilgrim motion of forward, rearward and stop or slow forward drive and comprises a uniformly driven differential mechanism 35 which also has a variable drive input to produce the above motion, the variable drive deriving from a first link motion which includes a driven eccentric disc 4 carrying a rocking arm 6 which supports a link 7 pivoted to the machine frame, and a second link motion connected to the first by a link 10 pivoted to the rocking arm 6. The point at which link 10 joins arm 6 is such that it describes an elipse one part of which is a near circular arc centred on the other end of link 10, hence during this part of the cycle no motion is transmitted. The second link motion has a gear sector 13 which drives a gear 16 interconnected with sun gear 17 of the differential. An alternative arrangement is described, Fig. 11 (not shown) with a different linkage between link 10 and the gear sector. The eccentric disc 4 is bolted to a gear on the comb cylinder shaft by an arcuate slot to allow adjustment. The link 14 to the gear sector may also be adjustable. |
