<p>A non-woven fabric is produced by depositing a layer natural or synthetic fibres onto e.g. an endless belt having an embossed surface which simulates the surface of a woven fabric. The layer of fibres is pressed against the belt by high pressure air to consolidate the fibres into a web and for them against the embossed surface so that surface of the non-woven fabric has the appearance of a woven fabric. The fabric is used for clothing, upholstery etc. and is produced at high speed. (e.g. >20 m2/hr).</p> |
