<p>The apparatus is used medically to ionise body tissues and treat certain disorders by creating a potential difference in the patient's body cells. It comprises an electrical generator which provides square form pulses, giving a state of electromagnetic induction at cell level. This state can be simple or repetitive and may be followed by a fixed magnetic field which is also variable and adjustable. The cycle continues with a further electromagnetic condition, the reverse of the initial condition, the rhythm being variable. A control panel is provided, pushbuttons selecting the strength and duration of the pulses, registered on a galvanometer.</p> |
