Swinging jib crane - has jib and tail-weight intermediate members coupled direct to superstructure and to each other

The slewing crane has the jib mounted on a superstructure rotating on a vertical axis on a chassis. Both the jib foot and the tailweight are coupled to an intermediate member titling on a horizontal axis at right angles to the plane of the load moment on the superstructure, and the tailweight travels along a rail on the chassis as it slews with the latter. The jib is supported by a derricking rope from a point on the superstructure. Both intermediate members (17, 19) are coupled directly to the superstructure (13), and also linked together by a connector (22) so as to move together in the plane of the load moment. The support point (23) for the derricking rope (24) is coupled to the intermediate member (19) of the tailweight.
