<p>The magnet has a helical spring between armature rod and yoke, operative in both directions, held between two spring plates surrounding the armature rod. When the armature moves, the armature rod takes with it one spring plate and moves relative to the other plate. A conical seat (11, 12) is provided in the yoke (13) for each spring plate (1, 2). The driving surfaces (4, 5) between the armature rod (3) and spring plates (1, 2) are plane surfaces at right angles to the armature axis (6).
