The edge assembly for a fish pond consists of slabs through which a coupling cable passes, the slabs forming a circle concentric with the fish pond. Each slab includes inserts (2) which receive aluminium rods (6), any slack in the coupling cable being taken up by a tensioning assembly (4) housed in a recess in one of the slabs. The inserts are pref. formed of flexible plastics, the slabs being formed of concrete.
