Christmas tree supporting stand - has radial legs, and central socket receiving trunk with gripping wedges

The Christmas tree stand has radially aligned feet (10) which spread out from a container (1) which is designed to hold the trunk (8) of the tree. It has acute-angled recesses (2, 3) into which fit the wedges (4) which hold the trunk. All the parts of the stand are made of a rust-proof material so that water for the tree can be added to the container without danger of corrosion. The recesses are pref. arranged so that the same wedges (4) can be fitted into various of the recesses to adapt to different tree diameters. The wedges (4) are slightly flattened on the edges (5) which penetrate into the recesses. On their internal edges contacting the tree the wedges can have a recess (7) in the middle so that at least the ends of the edge fits close against the tree stem.
