Heat exchanger cooling bore forming machine - has broaching tool or milling head advanced by thrust rod, and uses cylindrical brush for deburring

The machine for forming narrow cooling pipe bores for heat exchangers uses a broaching tool (18) or milling head which is advanced with the aid of a thrust rod (19) and thrust rollers (15, 16) into the bores (11). In the case of the broaching tool the broaching part has a guide head and spirally running land (22). Where a milling head is used, it is rotated by a drive shaft located within the thrust rod. Deburring can be effected by a cylindrical brush. Once the deburring has been accomplished the tool can be removed and the formation of further cooling pipe bores recommenced.
