<p>The electrical connector locking and unlocking system has one or several locking bolts (9) mounted inside the female element (1) of the connector. The bolts (9) are designed to engage, under the action of a spring into a throat (7) formed in the male element near to its end. Each of the bolts (9) has at its inner end a ramp which, when the male element (4) is slid into the female element (1) finds against the male element (9). Contact with the male element (4) comprises the bolt (9) so that it engages fully into the throat where it locks together both the male and female element. The system has also an unlocking ring (16) which is mounted so as to slide over the female element (1). The ring (16) has a shoulder (17) near to the exterior end of the locking bolt (9). By sliding the ring (16) towards the front of the female element (1) the ring (16) presses the locking bolt down which unlocks the two parts of the connector.</p> |
