<p>1517748 Laying nets by winding CHAVANOZ SA 29 Sept 1975 [30 Sept 1974] 39807/75 Heading D1R One or more weft yarns 28, 30 are wrapped around yarn guides 38 by rotatable guide means the ends 34 of which travel in an elliptical path 140 thereby drawing the weft yarn(s) at substantially uniform velocity. As shown weft yarns 28, 30 pass through rotating tube 22, through tubes 20 and 21 respectively and finally through yarn end guides 34 which are mounted on sliding rods 130. Sun wheel 120 and shaft 22 drives planet gears 122, 124 and hence crank arms 134, rods 130 and guides 34. The threads engage the yarn guides 38 just before end guides 34 cross the major axis of the ellipse. Selvedge yarns (73, Fig. 2, not shown) pass through rotating helical springs acting as guides 38. One or two warp arrays 52, 54 are pressed onto the weft array by rolls 48, 50, the fabric is bonded by adhesive applied by roll 64 and dried by heated rolls 68.</p> |
