The insulation piece for electrical divisions of pipe conduits has two connection pipes between which a ring of electrical insulating material, connected to sealing rings, is fitted. The connection pipes have, for joining to the pipe conduit, a welding end or threaded connection. The connection pipes are joined to each other by fibre strands (7) bedded into plastic (8) the strands (7) being anchored to the counterposed pipes. For this purpose the connection pipes have extensions or ring shoulders and ring grooves into which the strand ends engage. The fibre strands are provided in bundles running along and crossways to the pipe axis and on its periphery.
