Continuous fabric cleaning process - comprising first stage using cleaning intensifier followed by a dwell-zone before rising

In the continuous cleaning of piece goods, the fabric is passed through a cleaning fluid contg. a solvent and a cleaning intensifier and water. In the first stage of the cleaning process the ratio of each litre of fluid per kg of fabric is less than 1:2 in the fluid applied to the material. The fabric then dwells for at least one minute before it is rinsed through with a solvent. The process is economical in the use of a cleaning intensifier so that costs are reduced while still giving an effective cleaning action.
