<p>A rigid stator (S) is connected to a suction pipe (T) by brackets and screws. It has a suction chamber connected by orifices (e1) to the face of rotor (R), passages (t1, t2) also opening to the rotor face. Motor (M) drives the rotor which is of low friction material. It has a through opening (Ca) and a number of openings (cv). As the rotor turns passage (t1) is first opened to the air and then closed. The first opening (CV) then connects this passage (t1) to the suction chamber, withdrawing air, and finally opening (Ca) readmits air to passage (t1). The other passage (t2) is subjected to a similar cycle.</p> |
