The coating machine has an endless conveyor belt running round two rollers and a tension roller. Its top run forms a working chamber where it is guided in a concave path round two side pulleys, the chamber so formed tilting in the lengthwise direction of the belt. The entire chamber tilts about the axis of the rearmost drum in the travel direction of the belt, ths drum being at a fixed height. The drum concerned can be the driving drum. The side pulleys can be concave vibrator bowls, the top belt run near them being supported for its entire width by spring rollers.
