<p>The mechanism coils a carpet onto a tube, and has a unit opposing movement of the tube, into whose ends components of it fit. These components are mounted on the ends of arms sliding on a transverse bar, and which in turn is supported by arms hinging in the frame. Thus the unit rises as the diameter of the coil on the tube increases, and counterbalancing devices are provided to take its weight when it is freed from the tube, in order to allow removal of the roll of carpet on the latter. The unit can have cones fitting in the tube ends, mounted on arms sliding on the bar.</p> |
