The tuning circuit, for the resonator of a variable-frequency oscillator, has a comparator generating a tuning control voltage by comparing an alternating reference signal with the signal from the oscillator. The oscillator output is divided by a frequency divider (7) whose denominator is set by a manual setting circuit that generates a binary signal representing the selected denominator. The resonator has at least one mechanical tuning device coupled to a control device controlled by the comparator output.
