The floor selector for a lift has a bank of similar selector pushes. Each push comprises a body of the shape and size of an adult's thumb. Around the sides and top is provided a number of individual pushes and there is a central push (17). The peripheral pushes each have a stem (10) carrying a contact (11) and a stop (9). A spring biasses the push so that the contact is held away from a conductor bar (14). The central push similary has a contact (19) on a stem (18) and a spring (20). The lift motor is wired to the conductor bars such that is cannot be energised unless all the peripheral pushes and the central push are simultaneously depressed, a child's thumb being too small to be able to depress all the pushes.
|
