Headphone VHF receiver for crash helmet - is contained within plastics housing removably fixed to helmet

The VHF receiver has a pair of loudspeaker headphones, attached to either side of a crash helmet (8) for rally drivers etc. e.g. to allow radio communication between the driver and co-driver using a microphone fixed inside the front of the helmet. The receiver unit comprises two parts each contained within a plastics housing (5) removably attached to one side of the helmet. The housing contains a loudspeaker, a transistorised receiver circuit, an antenna and a supply battery.
