The door has two leaves, operated by a pneumatic cylinder positioned overhead. The edges of each leaf are made from steel sections, flat seal being fitted to each vertical edge and forming a common contact face when closed. The top and bottom seals on each leaf, and the vertical sales near the hinges, are made from a flexible elastomer. These have a triangular cross-section (72b) the apex being rounded. A similar seal also fits around the door opening and has a U-shaped cross-section (82) the flexible lips (82a) forming the outward facing open side sealing around the triangular seals.
