The handlebar pillar for a bicycle consists of two aluminium parts, brazed, bonded or clamped together. The pillar is attached to the fork by the conventional bolt (4) and expander cone (6). The handlebar clamp (2) is stamped from an aluminium block and machined to fit the pillar end. The two parts are secured by the cone tensioning bolt head.
