Low pressure die casting machine with two pairs of dies - where ejector pins force die halves apart and eject castings

The machine uses two dies, each with a moving half and a stationary half. Die halves are mountd back to back on a vertical plate carrying two ejector plates joined together by rods. When plates are moved, their ejector pins simultaneously force the die halves apart and also eject the casting. Both dies have vertical joints lines. Each die half is moved by the piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder; and gas forces molten metal up vertical pipes into to two dies. In one design, rods each consists of two pieces forced apart by a wedge driven downwards to move plates. High productivity using an automatic cycle in which, e.g. the closing of one die pushes plates for simultaneous ejection of the casting in the other die.
