Fast-response exclusive-OR logic circuit - has four multi-emitter emitter followers and two multi-emitter amplifying transistors

The exclusive-OR logic circuit, for fast-response applications, has four emitter followers (T3-T6) to logically combine two input signals and their complements. Multi-emitter transistors are used for the emitter followers and for the amplifying transistors (T1, T2). All the emiters of all the transistors (followers and amplifiers) are connected in a specified way via four resistors (R1-R4) to the negative supply pole. The input signals and their complements are applied to the bases of the four emitter followers. The output signal and its complement are taken from the collectors of the two amplifying transistors.
