<p>1536820 Pressure regulators GENERAL MOTORS CORP 6 Oct 1977 [15 Oct 1976] 41621/77 Heading F2V A pressure regulator comprises an inlet 44 communicating via a valve 108 with a chamber 118, one wall 120 of which is biased by spring 126 to engage valve 108 and open it and is movable under the influence of pressure in the chamber 118 to allow the valve 108 to close, thereby maintaining a substantially constant pressure in the chamber 118, which communicates via a check valve 136 with an outlet 66, and a pressure relief valve 150 arranged to connect the outlet 66 with a relief outlet 62 should the outlet pressure exceed a set value which is greater than the desired constant pressure. The regulator is used in a vehicle to supply a substantially constant pressure via an actuator valve (26) to hold off the parking brake, Fig. 2 (not shown).</p> |
