1536221 Radiography THOMSON-CSF 15 March 1976 [18 March 1975] 10335/76 Heading H4F In a scanning radiography system in which a beam P of X-rays from a source 5 scans a body 2 laterally and orbitally and the transmitted beam is received by a detector 6 mounted on the same member 4 as the source 5, the detector output signal is used to modulate the brightness of a lamp 13 which is used to illuminate an image of a filter 15 formed by lens 16 on a photographic plate F, either the filter or the plate being moved in synchronism with the orbiting of the source 5 and detector 6. The filter 15 can consist of a simple slit but is preferably modified so as to be effectively a slit bounded by opaque strips with the region outside the strips having some transparency. |
