In a positive pressure oven the oven door closes against the inner wall of the oven. A sealing element is provided between the oven door and the wall of the oven. PreF. the door is double walled and is mounted within a channel frmae on the sides and floor. The door opens by sliding vertically under the influence of a piston. Rollers attached to the door guide the vertical movement. A recess in the guide rails for the rollers enable the door to move away from the sealing element during the motion to protect it from mechanical damage. In the closed position, the positive pressure within the oven pushes the door against the seal element thereby ensuring a good seal. The element is in the form of a suitable flexible material located between a fixed plate and a second plate whose position can be adjusted by means of a screw device. The seal can thus be adjusted to suit the gap between oven and door.
