The drops are removed by passing the gas flow contg. them through sinuous passages formed between parallel corrugated plates and bracing plates disposed between pairs of these plates. The edges of the bracing plates follow the corrugations and fixed to the corrugated plates. The bracing plates may be planar and parallel or in a zig-zag configuration between the corrugated plates, pref. forming intersections at their joints with the plates. The bracing plates can themselves be corrugated and present an identical profile to the corrugated main plates.
