<p>The marking device prints labels and applies them to items for sale, the type face for price data and if necessary item numbers being adjustable by an actuator. The data to be printed is fed in via an input, and the type face is set by one or more adjusting motors automatically in accordance with it. The input can be formed by a storage unit, preferably with a magnetic tape, and which can be connected by cable to the label dispensing mechanism. There may be an indicator on the storage unit of the goods to be marked, and the adjusting motor can have a magnet with a tappet, indexing to the next type face with each stroke.</p> |
