Reaction time reduction - for biological treatments by superimposed alternating or steady magnetic fields

The reaction times of biological, chemical or physical sewage treatments are reduced by applying an alternating or constant magnetic field. Apart from the treatment of sewage and industrial wastes, for all bioproduction processes in breweries, and the pharmaceutical industry, for the treatment of water for process purposes or drinking water. This requires little extra expenditure because the magnets can be connected directly to an ordinary 220 V or 380 V mains supply at 50 Hz. Suitably a coil to produce a magnetic field is encapsulated in polyethylene. It has a diameter of 200 mm. and a length fo 200 mm. and is immersed into an aeration basin for activated sludge. The process treatment time is considerably shortened thereby and the total volume required is reduced thereby.
