The data acquisition system, designed preferably, but not exclusively, for generating constructional accounts, contains an input section (1), a memory (13, 14) connected to the input section via a transfer section (10) and a control section (5) connected to the transfer section (10) and separate from the input section (1). The data input into the input section (1) appear on a display device (6) in the control section (5), which can be viewed by an inspector. The transfer section (10) is normally blocked and only transfers data from the input section (1) to the memory (13, 14) after receiving an enable signal output by the control section in order to prevent unchecked data from being input into the memory (13, 14). The control section (5) is connected to the input section (1) and to the transfer section (10) via a cable (9). <IMAGE>
