<p>The calculator consists of a base plate on which are fixed two parallel lines of rotatable discs which form the calculators keys. The discs are divided and graduated on radii. At the edge of a radial line is an arrow and on the radii itself a figure. The figures are from 0 to b-1, the base being b. There is on the circumference of a disc one or several series of b numbers. The number of radii on a disc is greater than a multiple of the base. The surplus radii carry neither number nor arrow. This enables one to inscribe any base of the discs with the same number of divisions.</p> |
