摘要 <p>The heat treatment furnace is used for heating of components by flames generated on burning fuel. The heat transfer is ensured by convection in the combustion flames at high temp. The convection currents move with high velocity and they are efficiently utilised. This ensures a central region in furnace which is at a high temp. and energy is saved by the highly efficient heat transfer in this region. A heat transfer converter consisting of heat resistant bodies is arranged within the combustion flame. This convertor is heated by convective heat transfer by the high temp. flame moving at high velocity. Heat is transferred by radiation to the body to be heated. The converter consists of flat plate elements fitted within the flame of the burner. These plates can be made of ceramic fibres. Arrangement is partic applicable to the continuous heat treatment of steel slab and plates.</p>
