Building blocks are joined together by a roll-up strip (1) comprising top and bottom foil sheets (2, 3) with a narrow interval between them. Contact adhesive (5) is applied between these, so as to run out through surface apertures (4) in the foil sheets under pressure when the wall is built, thus effecting a firm joint. An intermediate inlay in the shape of a perforated foil sheet or netting foil can be embedded in the adhesive.
